Hello everyone and happy Friday! This week went by so fast! Tonight I’ll be celebrating my sisters 16th birthday and tomorrow Nicholas gets here! The days have been beautiful here in Miami but a bit chilly. I’m so ready for summer! I hope you all have a great weekend!

Rachel Antonoff…where are you?!
by Elizabeth Jaime posted at February 25th, 2010
With my birthday right around the corner, I’m really looking to purchase a cute dress I could wear all day! What I really want is that 3.1 Phillip Lim White Lace Dress but from the looks of it, it won’t be coming to my closet any time soon. Now — here is where Rachel Antanoff comes into play. I absolutely LOVE her Spring 2010 Collection and I’d really like to wear a dress but that becomes sort of complicated when no one sells it online! Looks like I’ll have to send someone who lives in New York out to Barneys! Wink, wink..you know who you are!

Miss, you’re going to have to check that bag…
by Elizabeth Jaime posted at February 23rd, 2010We’ve all had to deal with it. You know — leaving your beloved shampoo, creams, and face washes at home because, well, they might be explosive. Even though I’ve learned my lesson, apparently my mother hasn’t. While traveling to New York in October, my mom had to make a tough choice — ditch the $150 high end whatever cream OR check her bag for a whopping 25 bucks. It’s really no fun but sadly, if you want to fly, you better leave your 8 oz. Frederic Fekkai hair serum at home. But wait! A website is here to the rescue. Could it be true? Yes! 3floz.com is offering some of your favorite products in little 3 oz. bottles (small enough to carry on!) While not most of your well known products are offered yet — the website is new and I’m sure they’ll be offering different brands soon. Exciting…check it out!
Ps- for those of you wondering, no she didn’t ditch the cream — she checked the bag!

Be happy. That is all…
by Elizabeth Jaime posted at February 22nd, 2010
Today, I came across New York Magazines article 50 Steps To Simple Happiness, which explains how New York is the least happiest state in the nation. For me, that’s hard to come across because well– I’ve never loved a city so much! However, I could see how those frigid winters, grumpy people, and busy subways could get to you. It gives a list of 50 things we could do to get out of that funk. Some are bit strange, but I have a few favorites..
2. “Make your bed. – I’ll admit it, I don’t make my bed very often. However, when I do there is this special sense of peace and order. I’m slowly learning to make my bed every day!
16. “Eat one ounce of dark chocolate - I do this everyday, anyway…
18. “Don’t be afraid to change up your style. - I love this one because some days when I leave the house wearing something I wouldn’t usually wear, I feel like a new person. Also, sometimes throwing on a bright lipstick makes me feel nice.
20. Don’t even leave your apartment: – This never fails in NYC (especially if you live on Ludlow)
30. Enjoy the views - The rest of #30 suggests you enjoy the views outside of some SoHo fitness center. I say– enjoy the views all over the city. Central park, small parks, roof tops, riversides, ect..
31.“Collect visual memories - Everyone should do this. No matter what. Photographs are some of the most valuable things we have; they take us back to times we cannot return to.
33.“Start an old-fashioned correspondence - Meaning…write someone a letter. Who cares if they live across the hall. It’s time we start appreciating the lost art of letter writing. Writing something that’s not really so urgent? Think of how happy that person will be to find a hand written letter in the mailbox rather than a mailbox full of bills.
37. “Eat strained Greek yogurt- Not sure I’ve ever had Greek yogurt but I love me some Greek food. It might be really yucky though- who knows? Oh, and it makes you loose 12 pounds a year…
39. Spend some time with animals- I’m all about this one! Spend a day with a pug! Or maybe a persian kitty…ha!

Monday Monday
by Elizabeth Jaime posted at February 22nd, 2010Happy Monday my loyal followers ( and those not so loyal followers!) Hope everyones weekend was fulfilling. Today, it’s a cloudy, rainy, Monday and I actually couldn’t love it more. Yes, I love sunny weather but something about this cloudy weather makes me want to stay in bed all day. I will NOT though! Everyone have a great day!

I don’t really like Twitter because well — I don’t think everyone should be knowing your every move. However, sometimes there are pictures I want to upload, or thoughts on my mind that don’t require a whole post. Having said that, I’ve created a Twitter account for In Between Seams. You can expect random pictures, quotes, blah blah blah. So, why don’t you start following me?

Today consisted of…
my second outing in my new shoes i bought at Topshop
realizing I had left the house without my three rings (I feel naked without them)

Eating some spinach which is always disappointing because I always forget how much the spinach shrinks…leaving me with about two bites of food.

This weekend I met up with my friend Jenifer who took me to Think Coffee. Not only did I get a few bites of the worlds best grilled cheese, but I also had a cup of chamomile flower tea. While I didn’t open the tea bag to look at its contents, Jenifer told me that they actually use the whole flower instead of just mashed up herbs like you’ll usually see. It was SO yummy and I actually considered walking all the way back (in the snow/freezing cold) to have that tea just one more time! So if you’re restless at night and need some calming tea, or just love yourself some tea – you can buy some chamomile flower tea here!
