Greetings from The Empire State

Hi everyone! After a long trek through the Miami Internation Airport and a delayed flight, I finally made it into the city around midnight. However, I will say that my flight – which is usually filled with fear, sweaty palms, and shaky hands – was a little bit more peaceful this time. I had the pleasure of reading If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You, the book written by PR power woman, Kelly Cutrone. It’s a really great book that I read in one sitting and enjoyed every minute of it. I’m going to leave the details of it for another post though!

As for today, my morning started really early thanks to the kids screaming and the school across the street. After lounging around Ludlow for a bit, we made our way to Soho for some Dean & DeLuca bagels. This was around the time I told Nicholas I wouldn’t be spending any money this month on anything I didn’t absolutely need. I’m sad to announce that that little pact lasted a good five minutes. What broke it? A pair of white jean shorts at 30% off that screamed summer. I know what you’re thinking but hey – I needed shorts! After breaking my golden rule, we headed to Bloomies to find Nicholas some pants which we did find, at a great price I may add. Next thing we know, we’re riding the NRW uptown to walk around and spend some time sitting in Central Park. It really was a beautiful day. Oh! We also spent about an hour in the beautiful Japanese Tea House. It was so nice and the tea was amazing!

Wow! What a detailed post! I hope you guys don’t mind.
