Jewelry Art Designs

by Elizabeth Jaime posted at May 31st, 2010

This past week, Sarah from JewelryArtDesign.com was kind enough to send me a bracelet from her jewelry line, LuShae Jewelry. I got to choose which bracelet I wanted and as soon as I saw this golden twist cuff, I knew it’s exactly what I wanted. Currently I wear two David Yurman bracelets that are also in the twist format so I knew this cuff would go great with the bracelets I wear daily. The bracelet itself is a twisted bracelet that has one solid gold twist, and another gold mesh twist. As for the quality of the bracelet, its pretty great. The past two days I’ve worn it bike riding, in the shower, and out on my daily adventures which its survived without a scratch! So, if you’re in need of a promise ring, bracelet, or even necklace, check out LuShae Jewelry at JewelryArtDesign.com

Ps- I PROMISE higher quality pictures coming soon! Remember, I left my camera back in Miami – ugh!

A little preview..

by Elizabeth Jaime posted at May 15th, 2010

Bonjour amore! I’m back from the Bahamas and I have plenty of pictures. The week was very relaxing. We alternated between relaxing on the lazy river (or getting beat up by the lazy river-depends on which part you were on) and eating a lot of fish! I have another charger issue and I had to upload the pictures on my grandmas lazy PC. So this is all I give you now. As for the other pictures, they’ll be coming soon-edited and all!

Stay tuned for the rest!

Steak and Frites: New York Edition

by Elizabeth Jaime posted at May 4th, 2010

After some debate of where we should eat dinner yesterday, Nicholas and I decided to head over to Relais De Venis on 52nd and Lexington. The story behind this one is: when Nicholas lived in Paris a few years ago, he would often trek over to the Relais De Venis in Paris. A few months ago – after a sudden craving – Nicholas went to their website only to discover they were opening one in New York City. So, for quite some time now he’s been trying to get me to agree on taking the trip up to midtown and yesterday, we finally made it!

So, the concept behind this one is that for a fixed price you get a salad, steak, and french fries. When you first walk in, you’re seated by women dressed in these little french maid outfits. The only thing the ask you is how you would like your steak cooked. I asked for mine cooked medium. About a minute later, they bring you a house salad covered in a nice mustard-like dressing covered in crunchy crunches. Once you’re done, they bring out half your steak (already cut for you) drenched in this yummy butter based sauce, and possibly the best fries you’ll ever have. I mean, I can’t even begin to explain how good these fries were – especially when dipped in the sauce.

Once you’re done with that little plate, they bring you the other half of your steak and some more fries (all that have been kept warm for you while you eat your previous portion.) The steak was great and I don’t even like steak that much. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you’re in this part of town. Don’t be intimidated by the one item menu – I promise its worth it!

P.S- Sorry for the crappy iPhone pictures. I’ve been searching for a Canon charger but have had no luck so I’ve been using my phone.

Monday, Monday!

by Elizabeth Jaime posted at May 3rd, 2010

Hello everyone! I hope everyones weekend went well! Here in New York, the weather has been SO hot. Saturday, Nicholas and I went to Brooklyn to see Bjorn play in the Williamsburg Open.

After watching Bjorn beat the Polish brothers, we decided to walk around Williamsburg a bit. I hadn’t been back to the area since my visit to Mollie back in August, but I have to say I really don’t mind Brooklyn. I don’t think I’d want to live there – just because its so far from where I’ll be going to school – but I really enjoyed all the little restaurants and atmosphere. We went to this great little outside patio/bar (the name which escapes me) and drank some Hoegaarden and played a bit of Ping Pong.

Sunday, we headed back to Brooklyn to watch Bjorn play in the Finals of the Williamsburg Open.  It was a close game! After heading into overtime, their opponents ended up taking the title home. This time, I convinced Nicholas to ride bike into Brooklyn. While it was such a nice and pleasant ride, I’m sort of regretting it right now. I’m soar and was dead for the rest of yesterday.
