Well, I’m off to California once again. Nicholas decided that after too much time of not seeing his parents (we haven’t seen them since Italy,) it was time we headed over to the west coast. I’m looking forward to family time, amazing food, In and Out, and sunsets. Stay tuned! xx

Rachel Ashwell: A Love Affair
by Elizabeth Jaime posted at October 25th, 2010
Nico and I were walking around Soho yesterday and came across one of the most beautiful spaces in all of New York –Rachel Ashwell’s Shabby Chic store. Smothered in light colors, soft fabrics, and perfect details, I basically want to live in this store. Soon after getting home, I googled the interior designer and gathered up some photos to share with you.

I highly suggest you take a look at Rachel Ashwell’s website, Shabby Chic.

Nicholas and I threw a dinner party on Friday. We invited our friends over and made pasta bolognese, tomato mozzarella salad, arugula salad (thanks to our neighbor, Andrea) and garlic bread. We ate, drank wine, and had a really pleasant night.

Parisian Flat
by Elizabeth Jaime posted at October 23rd, 2010
How amazing is this story? This parisian apartment went untouched for 70 years. The rent was paid and everything, however, the woman who owned the flat had left for the south of France before the Second World War and never returned.
She died recently at the age of 91 and experts were left to take inventory of her possessions. When they went into the apartment, they found amazing things including a painting by Bodini worth 2.1 million euros. So cool.
