It’s true–I’ve fallen victim of the latest trend: The “Flatform.” Usually immune to “man-repelling” trends (I’m looking at you, Harem pants!), I’m having somewhat of a love affair with my nude suede Dolce Vita wedges. I purchased them through Gilt Group last week (Thanks to Nicholas’ mom, Marisa, for the gift card!) and they arrived at my doorstop on Thursday night.

The reason I really like my new shoes is because they enable me to wear shoes with some height, while minimizing any pain factor. Since my foot isn’t at an arch all day, I don’t feel any aching after a day of wearing these to work. Plus, they’re kind of cute, right? When I first showed them to Mollie, she automatically dubbed them granny shoes, however, after seeing them on me, she decided to like them.

So, for some, flatforms may be like that guy your friends introduce you to that isn’t that cute, but really smart. Your first date with him wasn’t as smooth as a baby’s butt but there was some sort of spark there. Then, the next weekend he surprised you with tickets to see your favorite band play at Terminal Five and the rest was history. You now have been dating for two years….Okay back to my point–I didn’t love the look of flatforms at first, but after convincing myself to purchase a pair, and actually wearing them out, you can call me a flatform-aficionado. What do you think?
P.S: I know someone could argue that these are actually wedges, but I feel wedges have more an arch. These have only a slight increase in height.
P.S.S: Come back tomorrow for some exciting news (well, exciting if you’re into interior design/decor!)
