For some reason (maybe to spend time with friends? Celebrate summer? I really don’t know) I decided to throw a first-weekend-of-the-summer party. It would take place on my rooftop, thoughts of summer would fill everyones minds and everyone would feel like as if they were sipping strawberry daiquiris on the beach in Acapulco, right? Meh, not so much. Things got pretty stressful when I started to cook(!) for all thirty (yes, I decided I wanted to cook for everyone too!) people. Now, as you can imagine (or as you know, well seasoned party throwers!) this was not an easy task, and I blame you, Pinterest, for my overzealous desires! You make everything look so easy in those little boxes. If only making Capreses skewers and mini-sliders were as easy as pressing ‘repin’!!! Regardless, all went well (if you don’t count the 10 mini sliders that became well too acquainted with my floor) and I think (and hope!) everyone had a great time.
