Père Lachaise

One day in Paris, Nicholas and I decided to take a bus back to where we were staying. I was feeling super lazy and didn’t want to get off at the stop that we were meant to get off at. So, we decided to stay on the bus! After many stops and finally feeling some energy again, we got off at some random stop. Without even realizing it, we ended up in front of Père Lachaise–Paris’ most famous cemetery (and maybe the most famous cemetery in the world?)! I had learned about Père Lachaise from Paris, Je’taime in the short where the women go to kiss Oscar Wilde’s tombstone. So, I thought we should go in!

I usually don’t like cemeteries at all, however, this one was really amazing. Trees were overgrown over everything, the air was so fresh, and there really was something magical about this place. Now I know why Jim Morrison (the star of the cemetery!) and Edith Piaf wanted to buried here–it’s amazing in there. If you ever find yourself in Paris just walking around, go to Père Lachaise and just walk around. I promise you’ll enjoy it.
